another batman groupie
I’ll admit it, I’m a Batman groupie. This is a term that I made up 5 seconds ago when I was thinking of a title for this post, but I think it defines the situation pretty well. I won’t go into details, but let’s just say I watched Batman Begins QUITE a few times, and I have a link to Batman: The Animated Series bookmarked on my browser.
ANYWAY, I guess the big news today is that this gal
is going to play Selina Kyle in The Dark Knight Rises.
Anne Hathaway is someone I feel completely neutral about. She gives off this air of being sweet but at the same time pretty intelligent, and is hot but with a friendly, open smile. So I guess there’s her appeal. But I feel like in every movie she’s been in, she’s just kind of… there. Having vaguely promising qualities doesn’t automatically endear you to people, so I don’t know that she has that many die hard fans; at least not as much as she should, considering her supposed caliber.
Secondly, this dude:
is playing the villain Bane.
First of all, Bane is technically Latino, but what else is new, HOLLYWOOD. I’m interested to see how they develop this character anyway. Could be pretty cooool. And, uh… I guess I don’t have much to say about Tom Hardy since I’ve only seen him in Inception, and he was pretty hot and charming in that… so.. uh… yeah.
Hating on the girl while giving the hot guy a free pass? How cliche of me. Sigh.
